Lekino offers a rich and diverse selection of films. You can discover whats available by following the editorial team's recommendations, looking at new and most popular films, browsing the catalogue, exploring genres or using our powerful search tool.
Do I need an account to use the Service?
You will need to create an account to rent or buy films and to access social functions such as wishlists, playlists, review and comments. Browsing the website and accessing film information does not require an account.
To create an account simply click on "Login" (top right in the header). The easiest? Connect your Facebook or Google+ account. You can also create your account with an email address. If you already have an account, make sure to log in to enjoy all the platform's features.
What System Requirements do I need to access the Service?
To access the Service, users must either use a PC with Windows 7, a Mac with OSX 10.5, a tablet or a smartphone with iOS 7.0 or Android 4.3, or any later version of the operating systems.
It is not possible to stream our DRM-protected content or to install the leKino player on computers running on a Linux operating system.
Browsing leKino requires a recent browser compatible with modern Internet standards (HTML5 / CSS3). The website is specifically compatible with the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer 10 (PC)
- Firefox 28 (PC or Mac)
- Chrome 35 (PC or Mac)
- Safari 6 (Mac)
Compatibility with later versions of these browsers will also be guaranteed.
Streaming films on a PC or a Mac is only possible if install the Flash plug-in. If you have not done so yet, you can download it here.

To watch films on iOS and Android tablets and smartphones, you will need to download the free leKino app on the Apple Store or Google Play respectively.
How do I actually rent or buy a film?
Once you have made your film selection, click on "Rent" or "Buy"; the system will guide you through the necessary steps to finalise your order. At the payment step, you will be able to pay via Ingenico (for Visa, Mastercard, PostFinance Card and YellowNet), Paypal or choose to pay with a leKinoPass. We offer 4 different leKinoPass credit options (30 CHF, 50 CHF, 100 CHF and 200 CHF). Throughout the year, leKinoPass holders will receive special offers reserved to them.
Do I need to charge up my account before renting or buying films?
No. You are not required to add credit to your account to rent or buy films on leKino and may pay separately for each order. However, if you choose this method, you will not receive special offers which are reserved solely for leKinoPass holders.
What happens after I place an order?
Once you have placed an order, your rented or purchased film will be immediately watchable (either in streaming or after downloading the file). You will also receive an e-mail confirmation withh all relevant information about your order. In addition, your order history will be updated in your account (top right in the header) and your payent is processed.
What do I need to do after I have watched a film?
Once you have watched a film, please take a few moments to rate it -- and comment it! If you downloaded the rented film to your PC or Mac and are not planning to watch it again within 48h, we recommend you delete the file to make space on your computer.
