Winter in China. A snow-covered city. The day falls. The elderly He Fengming recounts her experiences in post-1949 China. Caught up the fervor of the Chinese Revolution, He abandoned her plans to study at university and took a job at the Gansu Daily newspaper. Her husband, fellow journalist Wang Jingchao, wrote several critical essays at the height of the Hundred Flowers Campaign. A documentary presented at the Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival 2007.
